Core Responsibilities

  • This is a new critical leadership role within the IT department to support the IT BCO Sourcing initiative. The Sourcing initiative requires us to establish a new Vendor Management Office (VMO). Key activities include establishing a team, establishing relationships with external vendors who will be managing the IT systems portfolio, and defining and managing a governance process within IT to support the IT sourcing strategy. The Dept. Manager will deploy Information Technology's (IT's) overall vendor engagement strategy, including strategic sourcing plan; monitor the vendor selection process including RFI and RFQ solicitation and review; oversee ongoing vendor management programs, including on-boarding and regular status reporting; and manage contract development and negotiation for critical vendor partners and manage all agreed upon SLA's.
  • Key areas of accountability
  • *Develops and deploys overall vendor engagement strategy, including strategic sourcing plan
  • *Monitors the vendor selection process including RFI and RFQ solicitation and review
  • *Oversees ongoing vendor management programs, including on-boarding and regular status reporting
  • *Manages contract development and negotiation for critical vendor partners
  • *Travels 20-40% (depending on cadence of vendor site visits)
  • Develop and lead the vendor management office; develop approach, strategy and governance
  • Oversees demand and resource planning to ensure that existing vendor-contracted work meets business needs
  • Establish and manage vendor SLA performance. Develop standardized status report process, SLA dashboard, and problem resolution processes
  • Build relationship with vendors including setting regular senior level collaborative meetings between vendor and business users
  • Liaison between vendors and the IT leadership team
  • Develop on-boarding and orientation standard process for new vendor resources
  • Administer contracts, interfacing with Legal/Procurement when necessary
  • Overseas travel is required; Travel to site visit vendors. Travel during contract set up may be up to 50%. 20-40% steady state
  • Monitors the vendor selection process including RFI and RFQ solicitation and review
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Finance, Business Administration, or Supply Chain, Computer Science And a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

Required Work Experience

  • 5-7 years Experience in building an IT Sourcing and Vendor Management capability from the ground up and overseeing a sourcing transition Req
