• The role of Sr System Analyst (Oracle GoldenGate DBA), will be responsible to provide architectural leadership focusing on data and database administration, including designing database schema and data integration. This individual will also be charged with GoldenGate administration and support activities include but are not limited to planning, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and on-going maintenance of multiple GoldenGate Oracle RAC installations. You-ll also be responsible for meeting project schedules and ensuring database and GoldenGate up-time performance.
• This role drives proficiency within teams, provides resolution to technical issues, assures best practices are followed, and assists management in meeting strategic initiatives while contributing to smooth business operations. This individual will work together with product owners, architects, development team members, trainers, testers, and analysts to deliver Business Intelligence reporting solution and maintain enterprise-grade integrations with Oracle's products.
• Develop and document technical and conceptual specifications in support of the overall usage of GoldenGate.
• Configure GoldenGate High Availability using Oracle DBFS and Active Dataguard, Configure Oracle GoldenGate Studio or integrating with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Assist in troubleshooting, detecting, and resolving errors, performance tuning in GoldenGate replication environments.
• Implementing necessary monitoring scripts for GoldenGate in UNIX/PERL scripting.
• Deep understanding of Oracle GoldenGate internal mechanism, OGG new features such as integrated capture, native DDL capture, coordinate apply mode, multi-threaded replicate.
• Configure and build Golden Gate extracts/replicate for multiple databases.
• Configure error handling for restart, logging, production support, and status reporting in Golden Gate.
• Install and configure Oracle 21c GoldenGate for Oracle 19c database replication.
• Create and manage Dev, Test and production databases using tools like OEM, Performance Pack, SQL Navigator, TOAD, PL/SQL, and SQL Loader.
• Database monitoring and tuning, application and queries using AWR, ASH, ADDM, OEM and custom scripts.
• Actively pursues excellence in the technical knowledge relevant to this position.
• Establishes best practices in the use of these technologies and communicates same to appropriate parties at varying technical levels.
• Provides guidance to technical teams and system integrators concerning suitable integration frameworks and reviews their proposed solutions.
• Evaluates the need for proof-of-concepts based on the strategic roadmap laid out by the Enterprise Architecture team and Functional Solution architects, and supports other teams in justifying these POCs to senior management.
• Leads complex integration projects, identifies business opportunities and creates a project plan to meet strategic objectives and outcomes. Prepares budget and tracks costs.
• Is the lead analyst for the interfaces associated with one or more technology products, major enterprise applications or medium sized department portfolios. Analyzes business requirements and presents solution options to business needs. Provides expertise and delivers value beyond immediate initiative goals.
• Delivers integration design documents, develop integration implementations, develop project plans for complex projects, and develop business cases including value analysis.
• Coaches and influences business managers in technology decisions. Engages with internal and external partners regularly to overcome blockers and develop efficient and widely usable interfaces. Understands and anticipates the needs and requirements of business partners. Prepares and conducts regular status updates on their projects.
• Provides guidance and develops alternatives and recommendations. Gains support for recommendations.
• Manages incidents including timely and relevant communication. Triage problems, remediate, analyze root cause, and implement incident prevention using techniques such as Human Performance Improvement.
• Communicates effectively across multiple stakeholder groups to influence project outcomes and steer towards enterprise goals. Proactively engages leadership at the lead and manager levels. Partners on delivering success and managing challenges early. Solicits and implements feedback. Manages change proactively.
• Works independently with a minimum of supervision, and is adaptable and willing to perform tasks outside of a narrowly defined role.
• Performs other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Math and (5) years' relevant experience or
• Associate's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Math and (7) years' relevant experience

• Master's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Math and (3) years' relevant experience

Relevant Work Experience

• 5-7 years Experience with Oracle Database Administration, Oracle HA (High Availability), Exadata, Dataguard. Required and
• 3-5 years Experience installing, configuring, and supporting GoldenGate 12c and higher, Oracle CDC based change capture and apply, configuring GoldenGate downstream mining and integrated components for replication, configure GoldenGate extracts/replicate for multiple Oracle databases preferably within a complex architecture. Required
• Great depth of knowledge in planning and implementing physical and logical structures of a very small database to very large database. Required and
• Experience with High availability and failover concepts and implementation, Disaster Recovery architecture and configuration. Required and
• Strong understanding in PL/SQL and SL and able to write SQL query. Required and

• Experience in taking logical backups of data using oracle data pump utilities expdp and impdp to move Oracle data from a database or schema to another. Required and

• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with audiences at multiple levels and across multiple disciplines. Must be able to plan, organize and lead meetings.
