Core Responsibilities

• Lead technical staff including employees and contractors responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting and supporting all facets of network technologies including LAN and WAN networking, Cisco Wireless, Cisco UCS and Nutanix datacenters, departmental VLANs, 100+ sites within NYC and Westchester.
• Provides guidance and conducts configuration, solution and quality reviews on IP network.
• Takes the lead on network related inquires requiring coordination with internal IT groups and cross-organizational teams including vendors, ensures standards and procedures are followed and issues are addressed.
• Solve problems and remedy performance bottlenecks in the network using performance metrics, capacity management and performance tools.
• Assess the impact of vendor vulnerability announcements and work to remediate if exposed.
• Develop and document implementation plans, network diagrams, policies and procedures for management and monitoring of the data and voice networks.
• Apply your personal dedication to remediate any issues that could impact communication with our customers and internal users.
• Manage small-scale projects including resources, scope, budget (costs), schedule and overall project plans and visual diagrams.
• Promote a customer service-oriented team by emphasizing professionalism, honesty, concern, courtesy, excellence and teamwork in a group.
• Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree Preferably in Information
• Technology, Computer
• Science, Engineering or
• other related disciplines. with a minimum of (5)
• years of IT experience or
• Associate's Degree Preferably in Information
• Technology, Computer
• Science, Engineering or
• other related disciplines. with a minimum of (7)
• years of IT experience or
• High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of (10)
• years of IT experience Preferably in Information
• Technology

Relevant Work Experience

• 3-5 years Experience designing, configuring, implementing infrastructure solutions using IP Required
• Thorough understanding of communication protocols and standards Required
• Strong understanding of cyber security principles Required
• Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS based routers and switches as well as datacenter NX-OS
• based switches Required
• Experience in BGP and IGP routing protocols (EIGRP and OSPF) primarily Cisco
• environment Required
• Proven experience in troubleshooting complex system issues and outages as well as
• conducting root cause analysis Required
• Experience in network monitoring, management, packet analysis tools Required
• Solid understanding of architectural concepts and practices leading to solutions that
• are reliable, maintainable, reusable, scalable and extensible Required
• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, good oral, written and
• presentation abilities and have experience working with Microsoft Office or similar
• suite. Must be able to interact with all levels of management and communicate
• technical concepts to a non-technical audience Required
• Must be flexible and able to work off-hours as required to support deployments,
• resolve production problems or respond to corporate emergencies Required
• Ability to establish medium and long-term plans and priorities and estimate
• investment requirements Required
• Experience in evaluating technology and establishing standard design Required
• Experience with network automation tools and scripting Required

• Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to use hands for entire shift
• Must stoop, bend, reach and kneel throughout the workday
• Must be able to read small print and symbols.

Other Physical Demands

• Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs at times
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hat, gloves and safety shoes when required
