Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive the integration of sustainability into all phases of the Supply Chain, including upstream and downstream circularity.
  • Engage Supply Chain, customers, and vendors to adopt best practices in support of corporate sustainability related goals (e.g. water, waste, energy, GHG emissions).
  • Leverage available resources, benchmarking data, and implementation guidance regarding best practices.
  • Develop, implement, execute, promote and monitor a sustainable supply chain strategy and model to reduce supply chain GHG emissions specific to the supplier industry segment.
  • Partner with the business stakeholders to lead engagement with supply chain partners to identify gaps and create solutions that are replicable, scalable, and aligned with the ESG sustainability goals.
  • Delivering on the supply chain SBT workstreams, from carbon footprint baseline year calculations to carbon reduction forecasting/pathways and submission to the CDP survey.
  • Manage collaboration projects with supply chain partners and internal business unit leaders to determine best practices and identify emissions reduction opportunities, while serving as an internal SME.
  • Conduct research to identify environmental and sustainability concerns, interests, updates and issues.
  • Maintain current working knowledge of and ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and global environmental laws and regulations.
  • Perform site visits or other duties as necessary.
  • Develop /implement communications plan for internal & external stakeholders.
  • The Development and management of ESG best practices as evolved.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Supply Chain, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainable Business, Finance, Digital, or other related field and Minimum 3 years of work experience or
  • Master's Degree MBA, other related graduate degree, or Doctorate preferred. and Minimum 2 years of work experience

Relevant Work Experience

  • Proficiency in utilization of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Office, PowerPoint, etc.) Required
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Required
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills Required
  • Experienced strategic planning and Project Management Required
  • Deep knowledge of the GHG Protocol and Scope 1,2, 3 standards Preferred
  • Proficiency in utilizing Oracle E-Business Suite Preferred
  • Procurement functions including contract negotiations and category management Preferred
  • Experience working on projects related to sustainability Preferred
  • Experienced Supplier Relationship Management preferred Preferred
  • Ability to solve complex problems and must have an excellent understanding of Sustainability objectives, processes, and tools Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Driver's License Required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
