Core Responsibilities

  • The Law Department of Con Edison is seeking a Specialist to join the Office of the Secretary to assist the attorneys and staff with the preparation of materials and logistical support for Board meetings, necessary support for corporate compliance matters, ensuring maintenance of the corporate files, and overall operational support.
  • Assist with the preparation of drafting minutes, agendas, routine letters, memoranda, forms, reports, PowerPoint presentations, excel spreadsheets and processing invoices for Board and Company-related materials
  • Assist with the Board meeting preparations including logistics, reservations, catering needs and uploading material in our electronic Board portal
  • Maintain and ensure organization of the Company's corporate files, including researching, retrieving, and scanning documents in the OoS electronic filing system while monitoring the Company's record retention policies
  • Maintain and monitor list of entities and subsidiaries; run linear charts and reports required by SEC, NYSE, state and other filings of the Company and its subsidiaries
  • Maintain the Board and OoS meeting calendars, schedule meetings, track attendance, and prepare invoices for payment
  • Prepare and file the Company's Section 16 forms which require the manipulation of data files in MS Excel
  • Prepare, manage and update Director and Officers Questionnaires in our online portal
  • Serve and respond to Company storm emergencies by participating in the Company's System Emergency Assignment
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required

Required Education/Experience

  • Associate's Degree And 4 years related experience

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree And 2 years related experience

Required Work Experience

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. Required
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Windows environments and Microsoft Office
  • (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint). Required
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments
  • and deadlines. Required
  • Must be able to work effectively with all company departments, various levels of
  • management and board members. Required
  • Able to work in a team environment; join and participate in team projects. Required
  • Able to multi-task, work independently, handle sensitive and confidential information and maintain confidentiality with respect to all aspects of the Office of the Secretary. Required
  • Ability to work occasional nights with little or no advanced notice. Required
  • High-level attention to detail in spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and writing with the ability to process time-sensitive and confidential material quickly and accurately. Required

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must be able and willing to travel to as needed
  • Must be able to provide off hour support as required
